WYS AUDITION EXCERPTS

These orchestral excerpts are for auditioning to join the Wellington Youth Sinfonietta for 2026. In addition to your short piece of choice, you must play the below excerpt(s) for your instrument. Auditions will most likely be held on 29th/30th November and an application form will be added here as soon as it is ready.

Violin 2026 - please note that all players need to prepare Page 2 ("Excerpt 2"). Students that want to be considered for a better seat in the orchestra or a leadership position should also prepare Page 1 ("Excerpt 1"). Excerpt 2 is from the Schubert Unfinished Symphony Violin 2 part, and Excerpt 1 is from the Violin 1 part.
